The Environment Agency are becoming increasingly concerned with the pollution caused by poorly maintained sewage treatment plants and have the power to issue fines to the owner/operator where a pollution is being caused by a neglected plant.
As the owner/operator of a package treatment plant, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that the plant remains in good working order and therefore continues to produce an effluent that complies with the Environment Agency’s regulations.
At Roe Environmental Ltd we can offer a full and comprehensive care plan. We will:
- tailor the desludging/service intervals to best suit the individual plant.
- routinely test the discharged effluent to ensure the plant is complying with the regulations.
- carry out any repairs or maintenance required to keep the plant in good working order.
The owner/operator will receive a service log book in which any servicing and maintenance carried out is recorded, as well as the results of any effluent tests. A good record of maintenance is recommended as this will serve as proof that the plant
has been maintained responsibly should any suspected pollution issues arise. It is also particularly helpful to potential new owners of any property.
Our aim is to give customers peace of mind that as the owner/operator they are being responsible and doing all they can to be compliant with the regulations set out by the Environment Agency. As well as providing a long life & cost effective service

Roe Environmental Ltd will work with you to ensure your system is working as efficiently as possible. We recommend regular servicing and maintenance checks, which in turn will prolong the life of your equipment. Many of our repair services are
tailor-made to suit our customers, these include;
- Repairing manhole lids
- Repairing and/or replacing broken pipes
- Supplying and fitting new pumps
- Supplying and fitting of electrical components
- Replacing belts and other parts
If required, we can also arrange a visit to your premises where we will carry out a site survey. Following the survey will we provide a report highlighting what we believe should be done along with associated costs.
