CCTV Drainage Surveys

CCTV is used to trace pipes & highlight the structural condition of pipework. Fully loaded CCTV units, with the latest WinCan version 8 on-board industry recognised reporting systems, are used. We undertake surveying from 50mm to 1500mm diameter pipes using pan and tilt self-leveling cameras. Roe Environmental’s CCTV team are all trained to WITA standards.

Sewer Repair Dig

Drain jetting & blockage clearance

When a member of the Roe Environmental Ltd team visits your property they will have a lorry with a pressure jetting system to clear any blocked drain. The process involves pumping water along a flexible hose – the pressure of the water jets will clear any debris, tree roots and encrustations.

Grease, silt and tree root removal

The biggest cause of drainage problems link to excessive grease and silt in pipes and tree root damage. Using high pressure water jetting systems Roe Environmental can clear all blockages.

Many smaller companies engage Roe Environmental to handle jobs that their equipment cannot cope with.

Environmental pollution control & clean up

An environmental clean-up service can be provided when any form of liquid waste spillage has occurred (with the exception of fuel). Liquid waste, sewage, grease and oil can all be extracted and disposed of with remaining debris cleared into skips.

Environmental Clean Up

Environmental Pollution

An environmental clean-up service can be provided when any form of liquid waste spillage has occurred (with the exception of fuel). Liquid waste, sewage, grease and oil can all be extracted and disposed of by Roe Environmental Ltd.

Septic tank, cess pool & package treatment plant emptying, servicing & installation

Septic tanks, cess pools, and package treatment plants can all be used to dispose of sewage & waste water. To ensure that any system is working efficiently they must be emptied on a regular basis and most customers do this every 6 months – this varies in relation to the size of the tank and how many people are living at the property.

A system should last for many years but there are some things to be aware of which could reduce the lifespan of any system:

  • Too much oil & fat can cause blockages as they don’t easily decompose
  • Disposal of food items can overload the system and even cause failure
  • Chemicals such as bleach and pesticides can damage the natural balance of the system
  • Flushing waste that doesn’t decompose – cotton buds, cigarettes, tampons

As part of the service your tank will be emptied, any sludge and silt removed and transferred to a licenced treatment facility for disposal.

If you are concerned about a blockage in your pipework we can use high pressure water jetting to ensure drain pipes are clean and in excellent condition.

Septic tanks >

Septic tanks are usually a two or three chamber tank. Older tanks are usually brick or concrete, with newer ones more likely to be fibre glass or reinforced plastic.

When working correctly a tank will collect the waste water, separate out the solids and discharge the effluent into the soak away. If your septic tank is maintained and checked regularly by Roe Environmental Ltd these tanks provide many years of use.

Cess pools

An underground watertight container/tank used for collecting domestic waste water & storing raw sewage.

Package treatment plants >

Treatment plants are usually a one or two chamber tank. These are usually fibre glass or reinforced plastic, but can be concrete or brick if a conversion unit has been used.

When working correctly a sewage treatment plant will collect the waste water, treat and separate out the solids and discharge the effluent into a soakaway or water course. If your sewage treatment plant is maintained and checked regularly by Roe Environmental Ltd these tanks provide many years of use.
